Dear players and OKFC members,

Today, 31st January 2019, the board meeting and the coach gathered together to carry out the first meeting of the year. As promised for every meeting, the summary of the most relevant topics discussed and their conclusions are described below:

-Trainings and team commitment: the coach and the board discussed the evolution and development of the trainings during the first month of the year. Cosmin introduced his new ideas during the meeting and he has full support from the board on his decisions. He will update the players on this matter during the coming trainings. We will continue with the trainings on Friday and a potential second day per week will be arranged. Additionally, several friendly games are currently being organized for the next weeks in order to be fully ready for the second leg of the season starting in April.

-New jerseys: the treasurer of the team, Kostas Ratsikas, updated the board with the financial status of the team. The actual budget allows the acquisition of the well deserved new jerseys (attached in this post). Thank you all for your contributions, not only with the yearly fee but also with the lottery support!

-Trip to Greece: Plane tickets have been purchased and we have arranged accommodation for the team in the old town of Athens, from the 22nd to the 25th March. The OKFC ambassador in Athens Georgios Vezyrakis sent his update on the organization of the international friendly game. One team in Athens has already signed up for the planned tournament and a collaboration with a local NGO has been established for the event. More exciting details will be revealed once we have the full picture of the whole activity.

-Solidarity actions: an agreement with the non-profit association SOMOS has been made and a football workshop will be organized in April, similar to the one already performed in 2017. Participation fees will be donated to a local NGO. Additionally, fundraising parties have been suggested and are currently being planned.

-Futsal 2019: OKFC has observed the great interest of some players on playing indoors football and the board is considering re-establishing the OKFC futsal team in 2019!
