OKFC Autumn News

31 Oct 2019 by Jorge Peiro

Dear OKFC players and members,

Since the last elections in October 2019 several important events have happened and different actions have been taken. Please find below a summary:

-Julefrokost 2019. The annual Christmas dinner has been planned for November 30th. As every year, we will gather and shared food from the different nationalities together with the traditional Danish snaps. Save the day and get ready to have some fun!!! An event will be created on Teamapp and participation will be required.

-International trip 2020. Once more the team will travel to a country in Europe to play a friendly match. The selected destination for 2020 is Brussels, Belgium. We have contacted British United F.C., ex-pat football club with members from over 30 different countries and 7 teams, founded in 1972. Our former player Gabriel Martin is one of their players and is organizing the even together with the chairman Thomas Horspool. We will fly there on Friday 24th and come back on Sunday the 26th of April 2020. The match will be played on Saturday 25th. Save the date and sign up for the trip in the following link before the 15th November 2019 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1937bWZcms6Wz947uIBkMKDT0-V4ugzxr4aiRp8lpX54/edit?usp=sharing

-New board positions. The recently elected OKFC board met last Sunday and held its first board meeting of the new legislature 2019-2020. The roles of each board member were split and stay as they were: Alvaro (member A), Erlend (member B), Jorge (secretary), Kostas (treasurer) and Maxim (president).

-Latest results. During last weeks the team has faced four very challenging matches. After three defeats (Egedal Boldklub, FC ESPM and FC Babylon) and a victory (RPIF), the team is placed on the 10th position of the DBU Series 4 league with 10 points. We never surrender!!! Let’s go OKFC

-Coaching team. The coaching team leader Kostas L. has resigned few weeks ago and Chizzy and Antonio have taken the lead as the coaching duo. We want to thank Kostas for his great efforts and the time spent in the club as well as for his achievements. The central defender position is waiting for you. We also wish the best of luck to Chizzy and Antonio for the coming matches. You have the whole support of the board and every single player.

Yours truly,

The OKFC board
